VISION Learning Labs

VISION Learning Labs (VLLs) are virtual, informal coaching sessions designed to help your team explore new features, improve skills and overcome challenges. These interactive sessions allow you to receive real-time guidance from our experts, helping your team get the most out of VISION's tools and services.

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing enhanced service and support to all of our customers, we offer monthly VISION Learning Labs on the fourth Thursday of the month at no additional cost. These sessions are perfect for ongoing support, enabling your team to stay up to date with the latest features and best practices.

These webinars are free for all VISION users.

All courses are virtual and scheduled for 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. CT.


Administer online task procedures, OJT and performance evaluations (View Recording)
This session provides an overview on how to set up an online qualification program in the VISION system. During the learning lab, we will demonstrate task procedure, OJT, and evaluation setup in VDM and VLS, discuss online task OJT and performance evaluation processes, demonstrate qualification card routing path and final approval, and review employee qualification reports and records.

Delivering Online Exams (View Recording)
 In this session we will demonstrate the various ways to build and deliver exams electronically. The presenter will cover deploying automatic generated exams, instructor built exams using traditional and express exams.  

Administer DIF Surveys (View Recording)
Reviewing the Difficulty, Importance and Frequency during a task review can be very time intensive. VLS can make this process much more efficient by enabling the reviews to be done online, which in turn automatically updates Developer.

Using An Organization Heirarchy
 The VLS Organization Hierarchy has several functions that help facilitate the management of worker qualifications. This session covers setup of the Org Hierarchy, node levels to track qualifications, and inheriting learners in the job qualifications. It also explains how shared courses work in the Org Hierarchy.

System vs. Manual Versioning Best Practices
 All data in VISION is versioned each time it is changed; but that does not mean that you should always use the built-in versioning to control change. We provide guidance and best practices for when to rely on automatic versioning, and when to copy branches and manually assign a version number.

Managing New Hire Training Through VLS
 The VLS Organization Hierarchy uses nodes to set up job qualifications and inheriting learners in the job qualifications. By leveraging shared courses in VISION Developer and the VLS Organization Hierarchy, assigning and tracking new hire training can be done more efficiently and accurately.

VISION Developer Basics (Virtual) 

 This virtual workshop is free for all VISION users. 

Goal: This workshop covers the basics of operating VISION Developer. It is aimed at the basic user, such as instructors and instructional technologists.

Participants will be able to navigate the system, perform the core instructional activities and generate reports, exams, and job performance metrics (JPMs) after completing the course. This basic training has been enhanced to utilize a more blended learning approach to maximize the use of the instructor and raise the level of the terminal objective to one that corresponds to the VISION user's real-world environment.

Who will benefit: Anyone charged with using VISION Developer to conduct any or all parts of the ISD/SAT process, supervisors who would like to understand how VISION works, and users who want an in-depth refresher on the basics will benefit from this workshop
